Your day will consist of a warm up, audition scenario with feedback, workshop session to action feedback, craft skills and a Q&A so you can ask all those burning questions and get some honest and helpful answers.
Meet the team -
Bobbie Chatt
Having been an agent for 15 years, Bobbie now works professionally in casting - recent projects include ‘Guys and Dolls’ at the Bridge Theatre, ‘Fangirls’ at the Lyric Hammersmith, and ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’ at the Phoenix. She also teaches Acting Through Song and has most recently directed ‘Heathers’ for the Urdang Academy.
Following a BA (Hons) in English from UCL, Bobbie began her working life onstage, performing as Eponine and Cosette in the UK tour of ‘Les Miserables’. Roles since then include Cathy in ‘The Last Five Years’, Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’, Cassie in ‘A Chorus Line’, Maria in both ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘West Side Story’, Sally in ‘Me and My Girl’, Marcy in ‘I Love You Because’, Peppermint Patty in ‘Snoopy, The Musical’ and many more.
With her own company she has produced, directed and choreographed all over the UK. Nurturing talent is her passion and she is delighted to be working with Bo and Jenny at The Industry Workshop.
Bo
Bo, is a Co-Director and Lead Agent at the highly renowned Collective Agents where he heads a book of leading Actors in Theatre, Film and TV across Europe, Asia and the US.
As a Film and award nominated Theatre Director, Bo’s credits include Earthquakes in London, Spring Awakening, Streets, Another Way, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and more productions of Little Shop of Horrors than a conductor could shake a wand at.
Jenny Edmonds
After Jenny graduated from her music degree, Jenny worked as a musical director and supervisor around the UK for 10 years, but discovered that her true passion was working with young people in education. Jenny has since worked in music and performing arts education and management, in various leadership roles at colleges in Cambridge and London.
Jenny currently works as a singing teacher and Musical Director at The Urdang, London, where she has the privilege of helping young people train for their dream roles in musical theatre. She continues to work as a freelance musical director, more recent projects have included working alongside the incredible Drew Gasparini as vocal coach and musical director, workshopping his ‘We Aren’t Kids Anymore’ song cycle.
